Gunbarrel Veterinary Clinic has been taking care of
pets in Boulder County since 1969. We are committed to providing personal, professional
care to your pets using the highest quality veterinary techniques. Gunbarrel Veterinary
Clinic treats a variety of small animals from dogs, cats, and ferrets to rabbits, hamsters
and guinea pigs.
Gunbarrel Veterinary Clinic was originally started
in a remodeled old farm house in 1969. Eventually the charming old
house got too small, and in 2001 Dr. Louis Brad began researching and
planning to build a new hospital, day care area, and kennel. After
three years of effort, the new hospital opened in July of 2004. The
hospital was entered in Veterinary Economics annual Hospital Design
Competition and won a merit award. It was featured in the January 2006
edition of the magazine. Click here for a photo tour of the
facility. The new facility is a 10,000 SF building housing all
aspects of care. It was designed to be a spacious, efficient building
with maximum comfort for our patients, their caretakers, and our
staff. The kennel is has 50 runs for dogs, and our separate “kitty
condo” area gives cats a warm and happy place to stay. Doggy Day Care
has been a big hit, with a large covered, outdoor area for dogs to play.
